A Charity Quiz Night

As part of my work with The Dust Project, I was asked to design a poster for an upcoming Quiz Night in aid of the charity's next building projects.
After a while of planning, and a few first failed attempts, I recreated my designs and was happy with my final two options to submit to the trustees. The final two are pictured below.
The poster on the left was inspired by The Dust Project colours on the website and their current marketing plans, incorporating an eye-catching swirly effect across the title.
The right-hand side poster used information on how the money raised from the quiz night would be used. All money raised from the quiz night will be used to support the build of Pavi and Semitha's house in Jaffna, Northern Province of Sri Lanka. I thought the 'cracked wall' effect was rather apt for the reasoning behind the event.
Trustees decided the poster on the left was preferable, and this was the chosen design to be used across social media and sent to Dust Project supporters before the event.
