Today was PAINTING DAY (#3). It was a GOOD day!
We woke early, and had a marvellous breakfast at The Valampuri. Their pineapple, toast, omelettes and various other items on the buffet table are a welcomed comfort during our volunteering days.
After Karen had collected us from the hotel this morning, we headed to the paint shop, to collect the freshly mixed colours to decorate the house with. Whilst these would not be my personal choice in colour, they are indeed a little bit of each of the family.
The colours are as follows:
Salmon Pink = Outside
Cream = Hallway and Living Room
Yellow = Kitchen
Dark Pink = Christina's Room
Duck Egg = Ananth and Usha's Room

Esther joined us today to help paint and finish the house before it got dark. It was a great way to spend more one-on-one time with her and get to know her beautiful soul a little more. Not only did we paint the walls and the outside, but most importantly of all, we painted each other...
I've just got back from dinner with the gang and the Sri Lankan team who have been supporting us this week. Lots of food, fun and laughter, encased by a heartfelt thank you from us for hosting our trip. We've had such a great time, and the guys out here, are a credit to helping the success of The Dust Project.
Yet again, I ate chilli prawns for dinner. YUM, YUM, YUM! These are without a doubt, my favourite dish at The Valampuri.
Tomorrow, I think the plan is to go to the beach and treat the kids to ice-cream!
